Indulgent Food & Wine Pairing showcases Edgebaston wines

Over the past few months, Emerald Resort & Casino has very successfully hosted a monthly Food & Wine pairing at its premier restaurant, High Stakes. This month, the five-course meal will be paired with Edgebaston wines from Finlays Family Farms.

Over the past few months, Emerald Resort & Casino has very successfully hosted a monthly Food & Wine pairing at its premier restaurant, High Stakes. This month, the five-course meal will be paired with Edgebaston wines from Finlays Family Farms.

“The Food & Wine pairing will take place on 28 April 2016, where Chef Ethel Pretorius will expertly pair the wines to her exquisite food,” says Tanuja Gangabishun, Marketing Executive at Emerald Resort & Casino. “Whether our guests are food and wine connoisseurs or simply looking to experience different flavour sensations, this event should be high on the to-do list this April.”
To whet the appetite, the dishes that will be paired include an entrée of thyme infused duck terrine with cherry glaze, sided by apple puree and brandy jelly topped with pistachio pafer and fried thyme. This will be followed by a starter of linefish croquette set on sweet potato puree served with poached prawn and mussel meat broth garnished with pea pearls and garden greens. The other courses promise immense flavour.
