Nigerian drug-peddlers nabbed
Police were conducting stop-and-search operations when they came across suspects carrying a black, plastic bag. Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale confirmed that the suspects - aged between 30 and 35 - were foreign nationals. They were arrested on June 2 at Farmer Street, CE2, at around 10:00am.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – Two Nigerian suspects were arrested in possession of cocaine, ‘tik’ and ecstasy with an estimated street value of R50 000.
Police were conducting stop-and-search operations when they came across suspects carrying a black, plastic bag. Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale confirmed that the suspects – aged between 30 and 35 – were foreign nationals.They were arrested on June 2 at Farmer Street, CE2, at around 10:00am.
The suspects immediately struck police as being up to no good, and they proceeded to search them and their bags. “The two were in possession of drugs,” said Makhale. She said the area is known to be a criminal ‘nest.’ The suspects appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court on June 6. The matter has been postponed for further investigation.
