Weekend Crime 2 December

Such a well informed community are more alert and detour criminals. The following weekend crime and crime trends were reported.

CRIME IN GENERAL
November month did not end on a good note, as our property crime and our Trio crimes were up. Looking at carjacking , house break in, business break in and murder really contributed to our crime.
Housebreaking cases and business breaking
CW area was the mostly affected by house break in, followed by CE area, and there was a house breaking in SE1 and Bophelong. Items that were stolen are TV’s, cell phones, amplifiers, play stations, jewelry, drilling machine, welding machines, hard drives and tools.
Business breaking
Happened in the Bophelong Ext.7 where liquor, cash and cigarettes were stolen, CBD shops were broken into cash, cell phones, kettle, plasma TV’s, component and hard drive were stolen. School in CE area was broken into laptops were stolen. NW7 a business was broken into and PC monitors were stolen.
Common robbery
Happened in Bophelong where the mother was choked on her neck by her own son demanding money and robbed her cash, suspect is still at large. The victim is disabled and we are urging our community out there that it’s festive season where children will like to adapt to bad behaviors saying they are in festive vibes. We urge our communities to take a stand and bring the kids who are breaking the law to the police station, I mean the children who are committing crime not children who need to be reprimanded by their parents.
Theft of motor vehicle
Yellow Nissan Sani stolen in the CBD, GONOW bakkie stolen in CE2, metallic blue Isuzu bakkie stolen in CW2, white VW Polo was stolen in CW2, Mazda 323 stolen in CW3, Ford Tracer stolen in CW5 and a white VW Polo stolen in SW5.
Theft out of motor vehicle
Tablet phone was stolen out of the vehicle in CE3, handbag with an IPod was stolen out of the vehicle in Mantevrede Plots and a laptop was stolen out of the vehicle in SE1.
SUCCESSES
The Vanderbijlpark SAPS managed to arrest a total of 23 people over the weekend for various crimes. Four illegal shebeen closed, 0 person arrested for driving under
the influence and one arrest for drugs.
GENERAL
Our robberies have picked up in the CBD where suspects are males and females, male suspects are now robbing stores at gun point when female suspects are grabbing the bags and running off, we are urging our community to be more alert in this festive season.
