Long grass and potholes endanger lives

Jan van Heerden from Vereeniging wrote: Since 2016  I have report  the condition of the  road and the long weed /grass to  Emfuleni  municipality  to repair the potholes in Homer  Anton Stegman street, the lives of school children/pedestrians and damages to vehicle  are seems  not to be a priority/concern for Emfuleni roads maintenance  staff .

The long grass  at the stop street corner of  Boy Louw  and  Anton Stegman   make visibility  impossible to see oncoming  vehicles,  in Boy Louw street  school children/ pedestrians /vehicles  crossing  the road daily in high volumes. According my understanding we as tax payers  have  a right  to a safe road environment  but seems to me that is not on the priority list of  Emfuleni municipality.

I have report the long grass  to  cell  079 4957553  without any action until  now , when I have spoken to a gentlemen this week again about the risk that children /pedestrian/ and vehicle  can get  fatal injured or cars collided he told me that if something happened the driver of the vehicle must took the blame even if there is no visibility from the stop sign  because of the long  weed/grass not cut in time.
